Doug King

After having served at First Baptist as supply preacher for six months during a season of transition, I was called as Senior Pastor in the summer 2012.  Previously, I served as a youth pastor for nearly 30 years, having served at First Baptist, Winchester, KY and 25 years at Beaver Dam Baptist, Beaver Dam, KY. I was born and raised in Madisonville, KY and graduated from Georgetown College, Georgetown, KY. I have been married to my wife, Jennifer, for 38 years. We have one son and one daughter, both married the same year (not to each other, thankfully) and they reside in Lexington, KY with our two grandchildren (so far). I love watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball, traveling Route 66, and performing and collecting magic.

Fun Fact: I sat in the 8th row behind home plate during Game 4 of the 2006 World Series in St. Louis... A Cardinal win 5-4.  A night I will never forget... with my son.  Oh, the Cardinals went on to became World Series Champions the next night in Game 5.
